About the Role:
Flava Wings in Houston, TX is looking for a passionate and energetic Line Cook to join our fast-paced kitchen team! Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to Flava Wings' recipes, portioning, and quality standards
- Operate fryers and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation throughout each shift
- Monitor food temperatures and ensure proper food handling and storage procedures
- Restock ingredients and prep items to ensure smooth, uninterrupted service
- Communicate effectively with team members to manage ticket times during high-volume rushes
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines in compliance with local regulations
Requirements:
- Food Handler's Certification
- Prior experience in a quick service, fast casual, or high-volume kitchen preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple orders simultaneously
- Basic knife skills and familiarity with kitchen equipment, including fryers
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality and consistency
- Reliable, punctual, and a team-first attitude
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs
Compensation: $10.00 - $14.00 per hour
